Tex Barry`s Coney Island in Attleboro

Super fast burgers and dogs .. Super simple ..In .. Out .. GoneNothing gourmet about it .. Zero ambience .. Small and crowded .. Seems to have something of a local cult following .. No muss .. No fuss .. Just decent quality meat and dogs. Tex Barry's is simply an old-school grill and a flat top and nearly 40 yrs experience .. that's all you need to crank out really great sleazeburgers .. Busy little joint .. Attracts all demographics .. You rub elbows with all sorts of people - which i like. Humans are social animals that, sadly, are prone to pretention and self-aggrandizement .... Because of its size, Tex Barry's is rife with fun, energetic banter, you, the diner, are at once, reduced to simply just another person who wants a quick, wallet-friendly burger or dog ..and maybe a chuckle or two .. and I reiterate .. Super fast and the staff is great!!!

Tiny place that's only been around for about 100 years. The building is an actual diner "car" if you're into that kind of thing; though it's not all done up 50s nostalgia. Quintessentially local, the place is otherwise unassuming, with regular folks coming in for some takeout or sitting at the counter for a few dogs and a little conversation. Tex Barry's is worth the stop if you're in town.

The spot is superb and roomy, the meals was delicious and the prices were very economical. quick, efficient service and very welcoming waiters. Will definitely recommend this place.

Old time dinner, awesome dogs, burgers and fries. Everyone is so friendly you feel at home the second you walk in. You can call in your order or just walk in, but no seating since the new Corona Protocols.

Food is great! let's get one thing Straight! They're Not Coney Island Dog Frank's. Born N Raised NYC Coney Island Only Use 2 Types Of (Frank Hot Dog) and That's Nathan's Frank Or Hebrew Frank No Other... Those Aren't Coney Island Frank's not at All...

Don't have to be hungry to get a craving for this place. Best Chilli Cheese Dogs around.

Whenever I go to Attleboro Jeweler's I stop by for some great 'dogs with everything on them! Nice staff, great prices and most of all DELICIOUS hot dogs!!! Always puts a smile on my face!!

Tucked away in a skinny little Quonset hut, just outside of Attleboro Center is this perfect Old Tyme spot to get a quick bite for a short buck. Great Coney Island style hot dogs covered with a secret family recipe meat sauce or just mustard and relish. You choose. The price is right and the food is fast and fresh. A must stop.

Great hot dogs. They serve hamburgers and fries. Limited toppings but still worth it. Fountain soda, as well as canned. Bottled water. Regular milk, as well as coffee milk. It's a diner not a 5 star restaurant. Minimal wait time for a quick bite of scrumptious food.

Tex Barry's is a fantastic place! It's a staple of the city of Attleboro. My entire family looks forward to eating there. The only way to order a hot dog is with everything. We always order french fries as well.

I want to preference this by saying I've been a loyal long time customer of this place and I alllong with two other customer where openly berated and rudely spoken too by the people behind the counter because we didnt call in and order at a fast food hot dog place ,its 150 degrees in there

Drafty old diner on the banks of the Ten Mile River. Run by the same owner for 30+ years. Two dogs all the way with fries and a soda. No A/C in the summer. Doesn't matter, eat your dog and quit whining.

Great hot dog. Make sure you get it all the way with chili sauce, onions and mustard. A little sprinkle of celery salt and its perfection. The only thing they should improve is the seating at the counter. It's very cramped for anyone over 5'8.

This is the place to go if you want old school way it used to be dogs....Always friendly and dogs are great. Went there for years with my dad and now going with my son.What could be better than that.

Horrible! After hearing how good it is I tried it .my dad just passed away and the last thing I need to hear was was the woman behind the counter complaning .I ordered a hotdog ( never being there and unaware of prices)she said its a $5. Limet on cards. I kindly said ok I will grab will grab chips and a drink will that do?she said"I dont know I am no a human calculator"I have worked retail all my life and she know that you never know what is going on in peoples life.the hot dog was like a peice of bologna with chili on it.I worked for this money and pretty much threw it away.this doesnt deserve 1star

I love supporting local joints, especially ones with so much history. Weiners were great, people were nice and friendly. Will definitely be back.

This place is absolutely wonderful the food is delicious they're very nice and polite I love going to text Barry I used to live in Massachusetts to Georgia but a year-and-a-half ago and everytime I come back up I had to stop to get myself a chili cheese dogs they are the best around

This place makes Attleboro feel like home for me. I grew up eating at Coney Island their food has only improved, the customer service is outstanding, this is the only place in Attleboro you can get this style food as delicious as it is. When I lived in New Hampshire I would drive an hour and a half on my days off to come get Coney Island. Must try quick spot to get take out or sit at the counter and get served the best hotdogs ( or chilli dogs) you ever eat. If you go here you must try the chili cheese fries!!!!

Been going to Tex Barry's since the 70's when they were on railroad avenue and I lived in Attleboro.Now I am on the cape and comeover on my Harley wide glide.Lookin 2 get over on the Sporty with saddle bags and bring somedawgz back to the Cape. I love this place!

Tex Barry's is an institution of Attleboro, dogs have tasted the same since the 1st time I went in 5th grade. Heck, the prices havent even changed all that much. Always a pleasure to take part in such a fantastic lunch.

Absolutely wonderful hot dogs. I have them "all the way " that's with the special meat sauce, mustard, and onions. You have to try them to find out just how great they are!!!

Best Coney Dogs around. Try the works and throw some celery salt on top. Don't forget the coffee milk! Fries are made to order, so always piping hot and crispy.

My own personal trip down tastebud memory lane. When I was a kid I would play basketball at the YMCA and then go see how many dogs with everything i could eat. Now I passed my love for Tex Barry's on to my daughter as I have yet to find enough self control to drive by without stopping. I hope they never change!

For over 30 years I've enjoyed Tex Berry's, never gets old. It'll be a sad day in Attleboro history if this place ever closes
